Dog Days of Summer

I say it every year...but I have no idea why I live in Northwest Indiana. I loathe the cold weather and the snow. The powers that be are expecting us to get dumped on over the next 24 hours. NO THANK YOU.

This last year I did a thing. Project 365 y'all. I shot (almost) everyday for a year and my word what a blessing these images are to me. Especially on days like today when the snow is aplenty and I need the sunshine on my face in the worst way. So I dug up some images from a beautiful July evening with my babies. We do all the outside in the summer. The park, walking to DQ for ice cream, bikes in the cul-de-sac and playing in the baby pool. This was one of my favorite evenings from the summer. Penelope was SO cranky....so I didn't even bother to put pants on the child...because summer. I loaded them up in the wagon and we headed for ice cream. The sunkist skin on my babies is sustaining me right now. Also...Penelope has grown SO much in the last 7 months! And now my mommy heart cries forever.
